Eric “The IT Guy” Hendricks is a longtime Linux practitioner turned educator and creator. He hosts Verbose Mode, where he shares practical stories and advice for sysadmins, DevOps folks, and IT leaders. With 14+ years across systems administration, technical marketing, and community advocacy, Eric has served in roles with Red Hat and GitLab and now works at TuxCare as a Product Marketing Manager.

Eric’s mission is simple: help technologists beat burnout, set healthier work rhythms, and build resilient teams through the principles of DevOps and open source. Expect straight talk, real-world tactics, and the occasional goofy dad joke.
